Marion County Schools (MCS) has worked closely with the Marion County Health Department (MCHD) to provide COVID vaccine opportunities for your child. MCS will not be offering clinics. If you wish for your student, age 5 and over, to receive the COVID vaccine the MCHD has opened a link for you to schedule a time that is best for you. You are not obligated to use this clinic option, as there are many local physicians and pharmacies offering the vaccine as well.

Underwood Smith Scholarship opportunity for graduating seniors who are interested in becoming a WV teacher: The current senior class can apply by December 31, 2021, for this scholarship, which could offer them $10,000.00 a year for four years while working to become to teacher.

Blackshere is participating in Spirit Week with North Marion High School. It is October 12th thru the 15th. Let's have some fun and come dressed up! Tuesday is Cowboy/Cowgirl Day, Wednesday is PJ Day, Thursday is hat day dressed in your favorite color, and Friday is Black and silver Husky Day.
North Marion Junior Wrestling is having sign ups on Oct 12th and 21st from 6:00pm to 7:00pm under the Gater Gym. This is for boys and girls from ages 4 - 12. If interested you will need to bring with you a $40 registration fee, sports physical, birth certificate and insurance card.
