Woohoo Polar Bear Swimmers! The swim team had a great weekend. Our girls won regionals for the fourth time in a row and our boys came in fourth in the region.
Carter Southern broke two regional records on Saturday in both his individuals, 50 free and 100 back. He also broke the school's record in the 100 back with a time of 54.97. Way to go Carter!!

This week FSHS guidance counselors will begin working with your student to set up their schedule for next school year. Attention Polar Bear Nation: The Boys' Basketball Team will be taking on the Elkins Tigers Friday, February 2 at the Fairmont Field House. The JV game will begin at 5:45pm and 7:30pm for Varsity. In between the two games we will be recognizing the seniors on the team. Come out to cheer on your Polar Bears to victory!!!
Thank you PBIS Team for bringing in Laurel Fork Falconer, Collin Waybright, for a very interesting and informative hour about raptors! FSHS students were very engaged and asked many great questions! The 3 raptors, Rico the red-tailed hawk, Charleston the barred owl, and Lance the peregrine falcon were amazing!

Attention Polar Bear Nation: With the 2 hour delay Thursday, January 18, we will still have make up exams for anyone who has missed or deferred an exam from last week. The 2nd semester will start on Friday, January 19.
Attention Polar Bear Nation: Due to the weather day, make up exams will be pushed back 1 day to Wednesday, January 17. This also pushes back report card distribution to the week of January 22nd. Attention Polar Bears: We will be having science and fine arts exams on the 2 hour delay schedule. Teachers will determine if they can fit exams into the shortened period or not. If they are unable to shorten the exam to fit, that exam will be deferred to the 5th day of exams (make up/deferral day). This will be the classroom teacher's decision. Students need to prepare as though they are having regular exams on Wednesday, January 10th.
