In the event of inclement weather or a school emergency, the Superintendent of Schools and his advisors will make school closing decision. These announcements will be distributed through Parent Messenger (be sure the school has the most updated contact information), local radio, and television.
Please keep contact information up to date in order to receive the Parent Messenger calls.
The parent/guardian has the right to decide if the weather is too severe for the student to attend school. However, if the bus makes the route in question, the student will be counted absent. If the bus does not make the route, the student is granted a “bus day” which does not reflect on student attendance records. If the bus does not make your route, please complete the green attendance form to be given to the homeroom teacher.
Discuss with your child your expectations for early dismissal. If the plan of action needs changed, notify the teacher in writing or call the office.
