While our newly installed locks look a little different then the ones shown in this presentation, the explanation on how to work a combination lock still applies. The link to the video does not appear to work, but you can still follow the step by step tutorial.

East Fairmont Middle School is proud to announce that we will be partnering with the United Way to offer an after school program this year! It’s time to get back to school, but this year there’s an added bonus: Flipside! Flipside is a new after-school program that was specially developed for select Marion County schools! Every day, participating students will receive a hot meal, homework help, opportunities for physical activity, as well as access to other artistic and scientific activities. Our goal is to keep them engaged, safe, and (most importantly) having fun!
East Fairmont Middle School students enrolled in 5th through 8th grades can participate in the Flipside Afterschool program beginning in September. Please visit https://www.tvunitedway.org/flipside for more information and to register. Spots are limited and this will be offered on a first come/first serve basis!

Parents, if you are looking for a small way to help out your child's classrooms please consider donating supplies.
East Fairmont Middle has installed locks on all lockers for the upcoming school year. Students will no longer have to purchase one. Parents, please work with your child to make sure they understand how a standard combination lock works as each student will have to learn how to operate one to access their lockers.
Thank you to the great group of staff, community members, and students who came out today to start helping us spruce up the front of our building. We are going to have one more work day if you missed the opportunity to come out today. If you are available, please consider joining us on August 10th from 6-8. See previous post for more information.
We will be welcoming a new Library/Media teacher this year. While Mrs. Ross is no stranger to the hornet family, she is excited to get settled into her new position. Mrs. Ross and other EFMS staff worked hard this summer to reposition the library to make it more suitable to our needs.
While we hope our students have been enjoying some fun in the summer during their summer break, East Fairmont Middle School has been working on making some improvements to greet our students upon their return. During the month of July, our gym floor was refinished. It looks great and we will appreciate the support of students and families in making sure it stays nice over the coming months.
