Attention Guardians: If your child has medication at the school, per policy, I cannot send it home with your student. Guardians need to be at the school May 29 between 9:00 and 3:00 pm to pick it up. If you are a current 5th, 6th, or 7th grade Monongah Middle School student and are interested in cheering next year, please join us for a little get together. Information about new uniforms and the plan for the 2024-2025 season will be discussed. May 23, 2024 from 3:30-5:30, stop in at your convenience in the basement gym at Monongah Middle. This is not mandatory, however, we would love to have you join.
The 8th graders have departed Kennywood and are on their way back to the school. Students will text parents once they are in Morgantown. Pickup is at the big gym.
Attention all Monongah Middle School 6th Graders who are advancing to 7th grade and All Athletes: There are going to be Sports Physical-Immunization Clinics that MVA and MCHD are coming together to provide. The clinics will be held at NMHS on Tuesday, May 21 from 8:30-1:30. There are TWO DIFFERENT CLINICS happening at the same time. There is a DIFFERENT PACKET for each clinic.
1. Sports Physical Clinic- MVA will be providing free sports physicals. The MVA CONSENT and the SPORTS PHYSICAL FORM will both need signed and returned to the nurse to be scheduled.
2. Immunization Clinic- The MCHD will be providing required immunizations. The MCHD CONSENT will need to be signed and returned to the nurse to be scheduled.

Yearbook order forms have gone home with students. Yearbooks are $25 each this year and can be ordered by returning the form, along with cash payment, to Mrs. Suplita at the school, or online by going to ybpay.com and entering the ID code 14977424. All orders are due by Monday, May 20th.
The buses are going through Morgantown now. Please be at the big gym to pick up your child. You will have to sign them out with a teacher before they can leave. Students had a ton of fun today and we thank you for allowing them to go with us.
Fifth and sixth grade students are leaving BizTown now. We are scheduled to arrive back at school at 4:30. We will let you know when we are closer to the school.
Parents, cold and flu season is here. Please remember, if your child is symptomatic or they are sent home because they are symptomatic, your child needs to remain home until 24 hours symptom free, without medication. Thank you for your consideration for other children at the school.
Attention Monongah Middle School Families: This is your friendly reminder that MMS does not accept deliveries for students at the school at any time. This includes Valentine’s Day gifts, flowers, food, etc.
Please don't send deliveries to the school as they will be turned away, NO EXCEPTIONS. Thank you for understanding.

Students will be taking the ELA reading benchmark, tomorrow, February 7. Students should bring their charged Chromebooks and corded headphones to school with them. Wireless, Bluetooth headphones are not permitted.
Reminder: Coming up this week will be Parent-Teacher Conferences on Monday from 3:30-6:30 pm. Tuesday will be the math benchmark test. Wednesday will be the reading benchmark test. Thursday will be the writing benchmark test and Friday will allow for makeup benchmark tests. Please charge your Chromebook and bring your charger to school.
After-School Tutoring for today, Tuesday, January 2, 2024 has been cancelled. Tutoring will resume Thursday, January 4.
Wear your Black and Silver Husky Gear tomorrow, Thursday, November 30, to support the North Marion Huskies. We will be making a short video before school to send to the North Marion Football Team to cheer them on for Friday.
Just a reminder...Picture Day will be tomorrow, October 25 at Monongah Middle School. All students will be photographed as these are the photos used for yearbook. Thank you and have a great evening.
Due to a scheduling conflict, Picture Day at Monongah Middle School has been cancelled for tomorrow and is now rescheduled for Wednesday, October 25.

Monongah Middle faculty and students have been safely evacuated to the big gym, as a precaution, due to the structure fire at the apartments across the street.

Welcome back Monongah Middle families! We can't wait to get this year started and see all of our students again. One change for the upcoming school year is morning arrival time. We are unable to have anyone on duty for supervision until 8:00, therefore, doors won't be open until 8:00 am for students to begin entering the building. Dismissal begins at 3:21. Have a great year!
