Welcome back Monongah Middle families! We can't wait to get this year started and see all of our students again. One change for the upcoming school year is morning arrival time. We are unable to have anyone on duty for supervision until 8:00, therefore, doors won't be open until 8:00 am for students to begin entering the building. Dismissal begins at 3:21. Have a great year!

Monongah Middle families, Nurse Angela will be at the school from 5-7 on Thursday, August 17 for the Open House. Any student, from any grade and bring her shot records, medications, or doctor's orders. She can also answer any questions you may have.

Parents have been asking for supply lists. I have copied the list from last year so hopefully this is still pretty accurate.

On the last day of school, tomorrow, May 31, Monongah Middle School will be participating in a Code Red drill at 10 am. This is only expected to last approximately 5 minutes. Once again, this is only a drill. It is practice for students and staff. Thank you and have a good evening.

Good evening Monongah Middle School families. The final report card for the year will be coming home with students this evening and tomorrow is the last day to order yearbooks.

If you have attended any events for Monongah Middle School during this school year, please consider sharing any photos you have taken. Reminder-End if the year testing begins tomorrow. WVGSA for fifth grade and Tuesday for grades 5-8. If Chromebook's are home, make sure they are brought back tomorrow charged.
Attendance is VERY important as is positive words of encouragement to your child(ren) to "Do YOUR Best!"

The assignment for the NTID (Climate Control Day) on Friday, March 24th, for ALL students, grades 5-8, will be to write about their BizTown experience. This can be done on paper or on their Chromebook (Google Docs or Word). ALL students should write a 5 paragraph essay detailing their job at BizTown.
*If you were unable to attend the trip, please complete Climate Control Day 2 from your packet.

Parents of 5th and 6th graders who attended the field trip today, we are just leaving BizTown. We expect to be back around 4:30 pm. Please be at the BIG GYM. You will need to sign your student out with the teachers.

If you would like for your student to attend the annual Marion County Technical Center Summer Camp at the Tech Center, June 27th-30th, please contact Mrs. Fecsko tomorrow, March 22, at 304-367-2164.


The buses just left BizTown. They expect to arrive at the BIG GYM around 4:15 pending no major traffic issues. We will keep you updated if things change.

Please be reminded 7th and 8th grade students travel to Biztown tomorrow. 5th and 6th will go on Wednesday. Please make sure you arrive at school on time as buses will leave promptly at 8:30. If you are bringing your lunch, it must be in a paper sack that can be discarded. No cell phones are permitted on the trip. We plan to return to the annex gym between 4:30-5.

The 6th grade trip to the Steam Lab has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date. Regular classes for the 6th grade tomorrow.
