Dear Marion County Families: As every school year begins, our wish is that you and your family have a calm, easy transition. The first two weeks of school is a time to build relationships between our schools, families, and communities. We appreciate everyone's patience and support as we work to build upon a successful 2022-22 together. On July 15, 2022, the West Virginia Department of Education implemented a new student information system. It has come to our attention that the platform many school systems in WV utilize to record and communicate student achievement, LiveGrades, is not fully functioning with the state’s new informational system. We are in constant contact with WVDE for updates and availability of LiveGrades. As soon as the platform is functional, schools will notify their communities of its availability. In the meantime, we have instructed schools to continue accurate attendance and student grades. Feel free to communicate with your schools through phone calls or emails. We apologize for the inconvenience this is causing, and we are hoping there is a solution from WVDE on the horizon. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
