The Board of Education of the County of Marion will held three Public Hearings, regarding the ten (10) year Comprehensive Educational Facility Plan (CEFP), which will chart the course for the school system facilities through the year 2030, and must be approved by the Board of Education, the West Virginia State Board of Education, and the School Building Authority of West Virginia. The CEFP includes, but is not limited to grade configurations, enrollment history, projections, and enrollment sizes for schools, number of schools that can be operated within the school budget, and conditions of schools.

The hearings were held on November 9, 2020 at North Marion High School Auditorium, November 10, 2020 at Fairmont Senior High Auditorium and November 12, 2020 at East Fairmont High Auditorium. The hearings provided an opportunity for the public to ask questions about the plan, provide comments regarding the proposed plan and/or submit statements on the proposed plan.
