Sky is the Limit! Nearly 90 MCS middle school students are exposed to aviation as part of Summer SOLE programming through a collaboration with Pierpont Community & Technical College’s Aviation Maintenance Technology program.

Get Caught Up in Learning! First Grade students at Pleasant Valley Elementary are getting caught up in a "web of learning" at Summer SOLE today.

Ambassadors for MCS making a mark and making us proud at the West Virginia Ambassadors Camp, an educational summer camp for 8th grade students, held in Charleston June 19-22. Shaila King and Drema Cochran, rising 9th graders FSHS and Adam Elliot, rising 9th grader NMHS.

“Drive and determination have made us great.” Congrats to our recent MCS Mountaineer Challenge grads. MC had the largest representation in the class, including 6 EFHS MCA graduates Jayden Woodfolk, Brighton Schmidt, Jason Ferraro, Christian Bunner, Thomas McKown, Zachary Fike.

Only 2.5% of every AVIATION MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN is a woman. Help the workforce shortage in Aviation Maintenance Technicians/AMT and ensure that there are more young girls and WOMEN enrolling in programs of the career. Building Blocks to a Better Future: Progress continues at the addition at East Dale Elementary, funded through MCS and the School Building Authority.

It’s Who We Are and What We Do: During the past school year, Marion County Schools finest cooks and Child Nutrition Department kept our students fueled and served 1,384,534 meals.

Time Engaged Matters: Students at Barnes Learning Center are busy recovering credits and earning community service hours during summer programming in Marion County Schools today.

Sign up for the Bob DeVaul Memorial Basketball Clinic and Fundraiser for Alzheimer's on July 9, 9-1, at NMHS. Registration is open to any youth in K-5th grade. The camp is absolutely free and participants will be doing drills with legendary basketball players. If you don't sign up in advance, it will be a $20 fee at the gate to do the camp in the morning. All-star game with former WV and Globetrotters playing to follow. Adults will be charged $5 to enter these events.

It’s about making a difference as community helps community! Jamie Dean from EFHS, 6 members of the FSHS Madrigal Chamber Singers, Friendship Fairmont Director Chuck VanKirk, Gregory DeVito from FSHS, and Patty DeVito here after they spent several hours helping deep clean Friendship Fairmont as part of the United Way’s Day of Action today. Students and teachers helped by mopping the floors, cleaning walls and tables, cleaning the restrooms, washing windows, and running a carpet cleaner. Mr. VanKirk helped educate the students as to the mission of Friendship Fairmont and provided them with a tour of the facility.
