To support our military families: On Wednesday, May 6, 4-6:30 at the new armory. All proceeds go to support soldiers, families, and family events for HHB, 1-201st Field Artillery Battalion located in Fairmont, WV. The unit is the oldest continuously serving unit in the entire military, as it was founded in 1735.

Congratulations to the MCS Golden Horseshoe winners for 2022! Since 1931, the WVDE names knights of the Golden Horseshoe, who demonstrated exceptional knowledge of WV history on an exam. This year, 221 winners stat-wide will join the ranks of WV citizens who have won this prestigious award.

The county-wide Marion County Literacy Fair and Student Art Exhibit is scheduled for Saturday, April 30th at the Marion County Board of Education Building (Old Armory) from 10 AM to 2 PM. The event is FREE to the public. Families will receive FREE books, additional materials, and experience exciting activities. Marion County students' talent shines through multiple displays of artwork and projects. Please join Marion County Schools on this Saturday.
