This is a Bison Herd Alert: PTO meeting Monday Oct 24 at 3:30 @ the playground pavilion. We will be discussing the upcoming Halloween Dance Party and future fundraisers. Children are welcome! Hope to see you there!
This is a Bison Herd Alert: Parents, Our school day begins at 8:20. It is important to have students in the building prior to 8:20 so that they can begin their day with breakfast and in an orderly fashion with their peers. Tardies are a disruption to our morning routine and interfere with our students' focus and readiness to learn. When a student is late for school, their morning is rushed and that is not the best way to prepare their minds for learning. We want to see our HERD every day and attendance is key! Please help us give our students the best start we can and have the HERD READY TO LEARN!
This is a Bison Herd Alert: The Lawyer in the School program from Legal Aid of West Virginia will begin holding free legal clinics at Barrackville this Wednesday from 3:15-4:15pm. The clinics will continue on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at the same time.
This is a Bison Herd Alert: Hat Day is tomorrow! Wear your favorite hat for $1.00 and support the 8th grade class!
There will be signups for 4th, 5th, and 6th grade cheerleading and boys basketball on Wednesday October 12 from 4:00-5:30. Signups will be held in the Barrackville K/Pre-K Annex building. The registration fee is $55.00

We hope to have a team for each grade level. If we are unable to obtain enough players and/or coaches, then players will be given the option to play on a combined team (with another school) or play a grade level above their current grade.
Refunds will be provided if the option available is not acceptable to the player.

Please be reminded that our dismissal does conclude until 3:26 and campus will remain closed until that time so we can dismiss our students safely. Parking will open in the front of the school beginning at 3:30. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and we look forward to seeing you this evening.

THIS IS A BISON HERD ALERT: DON'T FORGET TO JOIN US FOR THE PTO MEETING THIS EVENING AT 6PM AT THE PLAYGROUND PAVILION!!
This is a Bison Herd Alert: Parents we are asking for your cooperation to ensure the safety of our students at dismissal. Walkers are students who walk unaccompanied home. We are having an issue with students who are dismissed as walkers but are walking to parked cars in the church lots. This is creating a safety issue with students walking through cars that are waiting to be released in the parent pick up line. The church lots are designated as parent pick up areas. There should not be students walking to cars in this area. The upper Church of Christ lot is blocked off as well due to the amount of students we have walking home through that area. If this issue persists on Monday, we will return to our previous dismissal schedule and walkers will be dismissed after parent pick up. Our top priority is the safety of our students. Please refer to the arrival and dismissal procedures for more information. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
