It was Adoption Day in Mrs. Gabby Jordan’s class at White Hall Elementary where they had a special visitor. Students adopted a stuffed animal dog or pet to read with after school during Read Across America Week.

After two beautiful days ☀️ this week to begin middle school golf season in Marion County Schools, we are ready for the 🌧️ to go away for more ⛳️ . Participation numbers are looking strong in the middle schools among male and female golfers in Marion County.

East Dale Elementary will release students at noon on March 6, 2024 due to water.

National School Breakfast week "Surf's Up With School Breakfast" being celebrated at Watson as well as Fairview Elementary this week. Thank you to our amazing cooks!

Book Bingo was a hit at Pleasant Valley Elementary on Read Across America Week.

"Get a Life" real-world simulation at East Fairmont Middle School was a hit. Thank you to the many volunteers, including Fairmont State University employees, for helping out.

Good luck to the undefeated East Fairmont High School Girls Basketball Team and Coach Beckman as they swarm into Charleston tonight. Let the send off begin Marion County-style. 🐝

The Board of Education honored the Young Leaders of the Marion County Chamber tonight and 10th grade leaders shared their experience in the year-long program that visits business, industry, and service groups throughout Marion County as they build leadership skills.

Special thanks to Dr. Mark Staples, Pastor of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, and the Center of Hope Academic Enrichment Scholars, who led the Pledge of Allegiance prior to the board of education meeting this evening.

The County Schools Social Studies Fair Winners were honored tonight by Marion County Board of Education members. They represent the county in the Regional Social Studies Fair this Thursday at Glenville State University.
