September 9-13, 2024 is National Arts in Education Week. This week and every day Marion County Schools believes in the benefits of and need for the arts in education. In 2010, Congress put the week in motion "so that elected officials and educational decision-makers nationwide can find ways to support equitable arts access for students of all backgrounds."

Tune In! To the upcoming production of "Frozen Jr." featuring students from North Marion High School, Marion County Technical Center, Mannington Middle, Barrackville School, Monongah Middle, Fairview Middle, Rivesville Elementary School, and East Fairmont High School.
This collaborative effort has brought together young talent from across the county. Join in celebrating their hard work and dedication.

Good luck to all of Marion County Schools high school bands participating tonight in The 59th Annual Fairmont Senior High School Polar Bear Band Spectacular. Come out and show your support for this cherished tradition, where our incredibly talented students from all three high schools, along with bands from across the area, will light up the field with their dedication, hard work, and passion for music. 🎺🥁

📍Bus 66 serving Fairmont Senior and Rivesville
📍Busses to Barrackville are on a 2 hour delay schedule due to water issues and pending results.
Fairview Elementary School celebrated our grandparents with a special breakfast sponsored by our PTO. What a great way to start the day!






Cheef Si, President of the Kid Nation Foundation, donated a 24-foot outdoor movie theater to Fairview Elementary School.

Turn It Up! East Middle School x-country today at the Chick-fil-A meet in Mineral Wells.




East Fairmont Middle School Art 1 & Art 2 students studied American Contemporary Artist Jen Stark. She is known for exploring the intricate layers of the natural world through patterns and color. Her work is inspired by infinity and topographical maps.

Fairview Middle School 7th & 8th graders tuned in and turned it up by studying Birds of Prey over the past week. In a collaborative unit with math, science and reading activities, students talked about birds of prey, completing various activities in all classes.
The unit culminated today with a presentation from the Avian Conservation Center of Appalachia. They brought 3 birds with them to help educate us and advocate for the birds. These birds are really quit fascinating!
