Discover the Magic of STEM through FREE WVU Eureka! STEM Camp March 15-17!
Careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math are diverse and in high demand. With males still dominating STEM fields, opportunities for females to engage in innovative activities are critical in bridging that gap.
WVU Extension is bringing the WVU Eureka! STEM Camp to students in West Virginia March 15-17, 2024. The camp, which is tailored to middle school girls and underserved youths, provides an immersive STEM experience with hands-on experiments in forensics, chemistry, engineering, computer science, and biology. WVU faculty will share fun and engaging hands-on STEM activities all weekend!
The camp will be held on the beautiful and historic WVU Jackson's Mill campus in Weston, West Virginia. Applications will be reviewed and 40 students will be selected to attend the camp at no cost to them. Applicants must currently be in 6th - 8th grade and must not have attended WVU Eureka! STEM Camp previously. Participants who would like to be considered for the 2024 WVU Eureka! STEM Camp, should complete the short online application by February 5, 2024 (11:59 p.m. EST).

Marion County Board of Education honored the county's Science Fair winners, teachers, and administration tonight at the board of education meeting from West Fairmont Middle School.


The Marion County Board of Education honored county Math Field Day winners tonight. The winners were awarded trophies and certificates as well at the official Math Field Day events earlier this month for elementary, middle and high schools. They advance to regional competition.
